The difference between Perfection and Excellence

Ambitious individuals who have risen to positions of management and leadership will often have been ‘A’ students; getting ‘perfect’ 10 out of 10 grades at school and university. This encourages the development of a right / wrong behavioral mentality. ‘Get it right’ perfectionism. Since perfection is unattainable this attitude can grow a ‘never good enough’ work culture. Perfect can not and does not exist, but high quality and excellence does. During the EPT programmes we identify the difference and move the participant away from the commonly shared perfectionism mind-set towards developing the skills for seeking, creating, communicating and enjoying excellence.
